Retaining Walls & Hardscapes.
From engineered retaining walls to custom stone patios, we build outdoor spaces that perform as well as they look.
From Problem Slopes To Finished Outdoor Spaces
Whether you have a hillside that’s slowly washing away or a bare backyard you’ve never been able to use, the right hardscape work transforms your property. We handle everything from the excavation and wall construction to the finished patio surface.
- Natural and manufactured stone retaining wall installation
- Elevated patios with integrated retaining structure
- Paver and stone walkway installation
- Steps, borders, and decorative stonework
Signs Your Property Needs A Retaining Wall Or Hardscape Work
- Soil is eroding or washing downhill after every rainstorm
- A slope in your yard is making usable space impossible
- Your existing retaining wall is leaning, cracking, or shifting
- Water is pooling at the base of a hill or near your foundation
- You have a patio or walkway that's heaving, settling, or cracking
Our Approach to Retaining Wall & Hardscape Work
Before we touch a single stone, we walk the site and understand what the space actually needs. Retaining walls fail for predictable reasons; poor base preparation, no drainage behind the wall, and blocks or stone laid without accounting for the weight and pressure they’ll carry.
We don’t skip those steps. Every wall we build starts with proper excavation, a compacted gravel base, and drainage integrated from the beginning. Every patio and walkway gets the same treatment
- Base preparation and compaction done to standard on every project
- Drainage integrated behind walls to prevent hydrostatic pressure buildup
- Materials selected for durability in Connecticut's freeze-thaw climate
- Site cleaned up and restored when the project is done
